The Tobii XR Devzone is a website created by me and my team at Tobii. It was originally intended to be the place to download our XR SDK and for documentation purposes but has grown over the years to be the place where we put most of our public creations.
I would say the core value of this website is all the knowledge it contains about how to develop eye tracking experiences in XR. Me and the rest of the team spent a lot of time exploring this space from the early days resulting in a bunch of prototypes, demos, tools and solutions. With the XR Devzone as a communication vehicle, we have tried to distill that knowledge into easy-to-understand learnings to help other developers in this space.
Here are some videos taken from our design fundamentals section, where we give general pointers of what to think of when designing eye tracking elements in your scene. I will not go into depth about what they specifically try to teach here, but if interested, all this information can be found on the devzone linked at the top of this page.
Below are some more videos from the devzone showcasing different design principles and exciting use cases.
I am extremely proud of this work and it has provided a substantial amount of value over the years. It has been a communication vehicle both internally in the company but also externally, when talking with potential customers or integration partners.
My role in the creation has been everything from building the website, to distilling the knowledge in the team into digestible chunks of goodies in the form of videos, images and text.
